The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) of Taipei, R.O.C. promotes the advertising profession in Taipei. The precedent of the association is the Accredited Advertiser Club, founded on July1, 1987. The club started promoting business affairs in the industry at an early stage until it was approved as a formal social organization in December 1991 after a successful application and name changed to The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Taipei, R.O.C. There are currently 29 members in Taipei. All of them are advertising companies. In addition to setting up standards for the industry, 4As integrates expertise and experience in the field to help members accomplish sound management and promote their professional competence. 4As EXCO committee formulate annual plans according to various needs. For example, to promote 4As’ popularity and professional profile as well as facilitate more exchanges regarding experience sharing and partnership among members. 4As is also active in participating both local and international affairs. To achieve the goal that advertisers respect agents’ professional, 4As implements standard of charging and the charging policy of pitching cost. 4As also includes a 4A Creative Award committee, which has hosted the “4A Creative Award” since 1991.
