He joined Kao in 1980 and served as Area Marketing Manager of the Tohoku Branch in the Sales Division, followed by 14 years of brand management in the Business Division. In the business division, he served as brand manager for major Kao brands such as Mary's, Laurier, Kitchen Care, and Biore.
Since 2003, he had served as General Manager of the Web Creation Department of the Creation Division and President of Kao Creative House, and as Director of the Digital Marketing Center, he has overseen and led the Kao Group's digital utilization.
Currently, he is an Executive Fellow at Adobe, while also serving as an auditor at C Channel K.K. and an executive advisor at e-Life Co.
He is also a member of the Digital Media Committee of the Japan Advertisers Association, a Marketing Meister of the Japan Marketing Association, the chairman of the judging committee for the Brand Experience category of the Dentsu Advertising Awards, and a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Waseda University.
