Born in 1984 in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. After encountering bean-to-bar chocolate production, he discovered the possibility of providing new value to the world (proposing new chocolate experiences and creating an ecosystem involving farmers), and established the craft chocolate brand "Minimal In 2014. He launched "Minimal -Bean to Bar Chocolate-", a craft chocolate brand in Tomigaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. For a little more than four months a year, he actually visits cacao producing regions just below the equator, negotiates with cacao farmers, purchases high-quality cacao beans, and works with farmers to improve quality every year. In 2017, the company received the Good Design Award Best 100 and Special Award "Monozukuri", as well as the WIRED Audi INNOVATION AWARD 2017 30 Innovators and Innovators. He was also nominated for the AWARD 2017 30 Innovators. He truly loves craftsmanship of making things with care and his dream is to eat delicious cacao from all over the world.
